The Calorie and Macronutrient Summaries at the bottom of the Log section give you direct feedback about how the foods you have logged for today impact your calorie and macronutrient goals.
Calorie Summary
The Calorie Summary shows you how your Calorie Goal for the day is impacted by the exercise that you do, and the food that you eat. Each part of the Calorie Summary is described below:
Calorie Goal
Your Calorie Goal is based on your weight, age, and gender, and takes into account your preference to maintain, lose, or gain weight.
Exercise
The number of calories you burn while exercising depends on your physiological make-up (height, weight, gender, and lean muscle mass), the type of exercise you do, and the intensity and duration that you do it. If you logged your exercise, then the calories you burned will appear beneath your calorie goal in the line for Exercise.
Updated Goal
Your Updated Goal is calculated by adding your Calorie Goal to the number of calories you’ve burned while exercising. This number will fluctuate from day to day depending on the type and amount of exercise that you do.
One of the ways that the Good Measures platform can be personalized is to stop having the number of calories you've burned while exercising count towards this updated goal. If you would like to customize the platform in this way, contact help@goodmeasures.com and ask to customize exercise.
Food
The total number of calories you have logged today appear in the Food line.
Final Line of the Calorie Summary
The final line of the Calorie Summary indicates if you have gone Under or Over your needs for the day, given your goal of holding, gaining, or losing weight.
Macronutrient Summary
The Macronutrient Summary shows how well you are meeting each of your macronutrient needs by comparing your Goals to your Actual intake.
