We use recipes at Good Measures much in the same way that you do in your own kitchen -- to record lists of ingredients, and steps for preparing those ingredients. You may enter recipes into the Good Measures system for logging at a later time, and share recipes with other users by becoming friends. Once you've added a recipe, you may edit it at any time from the Recipes section of the My Foods drop-down menu. We mark recipes with the recipe icon below, so you can easily find them in the log:
Select Recipes from the My Foods drop-down menu.
Click the Create Recipe button.
To Create a Recipe, enter the recipe's name, and add notes if you wish. If you would like to upload a picture of the recipe, click the upload box.
Entering ingredients works in a similar way to logging food. Search for an ingredient by entering its name into the find food box and click the Find Food button. Select from the search results, choose the correct portion size, then click the add ingredient button.
Make sure to enter in the number of servings the recipes makes. If you know the volume measurement of the serving size, you can enter this information here, too. The GMI Engine will calculate the raw weight of each serving.
Add in the steps for making the recipe (you may change their order by re-numbering them), then click the Create button.
